03 · Our story
An evening is usually about twenty of us. You get a name badge, you get put next to somebody you have not met, and there is food. Sometimes it is a talk. Daphne Damons on POPIA, or somebody explaining the part of their trade nobody outside it understands. Sometimes it is a bring and braai in the garden, or soup and sherry on a cold Saturday afternoon. The format changes on purpose, because the same room every month stops being interesting. What does not change is the point of it. You should leave having had a proper conversation with two or three people, not having handed out cards to twenty. There is no membership and no joining fee. Most evenings cost around R100 a head to cover the food. Phone or message me and I will tell you when the next one is.
